
Brand Identity for Denver’s First 420 Friendly Indoor Music Venue
In 2018, recreational marijuana became legal in Colorado. Although cannabis shops lined the streets of Denver, consuming marijuana in public was still prohibited under federal law. Recognizing an opportunity, famous musician Deen Ween invested in a small space in downtown Denver with the hope of creating the first music venue where patrons could openly enjoy cannabis indoors. The logo incorporates honey drips and a cannabis leaf encased in honeycomb, which playfully complement the "honeypot" wordmark and gives the brand a slightly psychedelic vibe. Additionally, the golden, dripping guitar pick pays homage to Deen Ween himself, a renowned musician and the frontman of the band Ween.
